Filippo Lapiana '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Filippo Lapiana and I am 18 years old.

I come from Italy and last year (2019-2020) I was an exchange student in Phoenix, Arizona.

I grew up playing soccer, just like every italian kid. I was always a good player, I once auditioned for Fiorentina but they didn't take me because at the time I was really small. Last year, during my exchange year, I played soccer on the Veritas Prep Academy varsity Team and on a Phoenix Rising team. 

My school was never good at soccer but last year we won State (3A) and i won team's MVP.

I loved the US and college is something I really want to do.  I'm a good student with a 3.6 GPA. I think I'm different from other recruits in many ways: I have been always used to play soccer at a real high level in Italy, I'm not afraid of new experiences, I speak 4 languages fluently, I like tp study and I think I am a funny guy too.
