As the teen that I am now, I have gathered experience and thoughts that I have had in my life to create a summary about myself. I am one of three children to my hard working parents that will do anything to see their children succeed. My parents are immigrants from Guatemala that brought my older sibling, at a young, to the United States, where they later brought me and my younger sibling to this earth to seek big opportunities for themselves and their children to succeed. My father, someone who had a passion for soccer, was a professional soccer player back then in Guatemala for my grandfather’s club, along with my other uncles. That is where I got the love for the sport from a very young age. My mother supported my father in his career of playing professional soccer for her father team until my fathers career came to an end. She later supported and still supports me and my siblings to succeed in our dreams.
The person that I am today was created by my experiences and influences. I have seen and heard negativity that came with consequences in my life that told me not to not be a part of and taught me that it would not lead me anywhere in life. I have also seen positive things that I would be influenced by to create my interests and my personality. I have watched and played soccer at a very young age and I have seen the world biggest stars perform on tv and at a big stage that I have attended. I thought this was an amazing thing to be, so I got my influence and interests from soccer at very young age. I started to physically play soccer at the age of eight and then continued to my present life. Playing soccer taught a lot of things to me like being a leader, how to work in a team, learning from failure, passion, and success. I played and still play for a club that taught me you can learn from your failure and mistakes. I also played for my middle school soccer team where we won the first place district title and where I learned how to work in a team, how to be a leader, and passion which lead me to currently play my second year of high school soccer where I have learned that I can succeed and find opportunities to big things. I wish to graduate from my high school with scholarships, a very good GPA, a career that I want to pursue in, and a college or university that I want to attend. After that, I want to be in the college or university that I want to attend, studying my career and playing soccer for that school. I also wish to graduate from that school and hopefully become a professional athlete like my father. Obstacles that I have faced was not having a plan or having no knowledge in a couple situations. After coming across these obstacles I started coming up with plans and finding motivation, but I also knew I was going to come across way more obstacles later on. I have also found my skills that I possess which are my leadership skills, strategic thinking, having a plan and creating goals, and having passion. Overall, I am a youth that is well known as athletic, a person with goals, an opportunity seeker, and a person that will make it in life. I hope to be a well know person that succeeded and created something that gave back to other people, like my family or my struggling community, to help them out.
