My name is Nicholas De Lapp. I am an ambitious, respectful, intelligent, and hard-working student-athlete. I am very focused and plan-oriented. My hobbies include planning, investing, doing volunteer work, and playing and watching soccer. When it is time for school, I work diligently and efficiently so that I can enjoy the time that I have off. My philosophy can be modeled by the saying “work hard, play hard”. I believe in working hard up front to make my life easier in the future; I am disciplined. I transfer the same discipline and work ethic that I apply in the classroom out onto the field as well. These past 4 years, I have practiced very hard to make my dream of playing at the collegiate level (and someday professional) a reality. I am a leader on and off the field. In the classroom, I use my intelligence, work ethic, respectfulness, and discipline to help my peers to be the best they can be. Until recently this same leadership could be seen by me being the captain of my Barca Academy 05 Boys team. This was until I was called up to the 2004 team for the spring season and had to give up being captain, but even so, I strive to be the best I can be and inspire others to do the same. I have ambitious goals of becoming a surgeon whilst also being a collegiate student-athlete.
