  • Coach Steve Millar had high hopes for the Preston GM Langley FC – Fraser Valley Premier U13 Boys team this year and the boys have lived up to them. Undefeated in BCSPL League Cup Phase Regular Season with 5 wins and 1 Tie, these Fraser Valley Premier Boys qualified for the BCSPL League Cup Final that was played this past Saturday, November 21 at Trillium Park. To get to the final, these boys beat Vancouver Island Wave 3-0 in the quarterfinals before beating a strong Coquitlam Metro Ford team 3-2 in the Semi-Finals to make it to the League Cup Final. This Semi-Final proved to live up to its expectations, as it was an exciting game from start to finish, with our boys pulling out the win in the last 5 minutes, with goals coming from Marley Edwards, Jehmrode Kahlon and Aiden Jeckel. In the Cup Final they again showed their dominance by beating Fusion FC 3-0, where Tommy Millar scored two of the three goals, with the third coming from an own goal to become the League Cup Champions. This team is a powerhouse and has made it to five Cup finals in the last two years and has now qualified for Far West Regional League to play against the best of the Northwest (USA) Soccer teams. Coach Steve Millar says " In all my years in the game, I have never seen a group so close. It is a special group, and I couldn't be more proud. They are the most determined and focussed group I have ever been involved with, both as a player and coach. Even when they are not at their best, they will do whatever takes to be successful. They are one big family!" Preston GM Langley FC is very Proud to call this team ours!
