Alexa Johannesson '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play post secondary volleyball at a school that offers strong academic and athletic programs. Volleyball is a big part of my life but I also know the importance of a good education. I am a well rounded student but I excel in the sciences and look forward to continuing my studies beyond high school.

As a freshman I have already played four years of club and school volleyball. I have experience as a right side hitter and setter, but my main position is an outside hitter. Since I am the class of 2021, I am motivated to move faster, jump higher, and hit harder as I move towards graduation.

In the summer of 2017, my sister and I started our own charitable foundation. The "Ace Goes Through Project" (AGT) allows us to bring volleyball players to help the community. We have collected and delivered non-perishable food and clothing to families affected by wild fires more than three hours drive from our home. This past Christmas, AGT sponsored a less fortunate family for the holidays. We collected food and toys to support them during the Christmas season.

I am looking forward to seeing what my future has to offer.
