My future goal is to play soccer and/or basketball at a college level with an eye on pursuing a professional career. My academic pursuit is to study criminology with the purpose of working in law enforcement. I am also interested in Sports Management and Business.
I am a good team candidate because of my training ethics and team participation. I am not different than any other competitive athletic student, in my pursuit of excellence in my sports through dedication, hard work and training. I have received numerous sport awards in school.
I am a duel sport athlete also playing competitive basketball at school and in private club. I played Junior and Senior soccer in the same year for two years, was on the high school junior basketball travel team and played tier 2 club soccer. In 2021 I played on VI Surf U21 Elite training team. We played a few games but U21 was shut down due to covid restrictions. I registered for U21 Spring training with Surf .
I have trained with Whitecaps Academy (BC's MLS soccer club) from 2016-2019, attending their residential camp in the summer of 2018. In 2019 season, I was invited to practise with our Island Tier 1 BCSPL Wave team in Victoria with the purpose of being assessed for the team. I declined their offer as they had a one sport policy. So I continued with VIPL Tier 2. We went to the Provincials.
I have worked as a deckhand on a clam skiff and in a seafood processing plant and retail store. Summer 2020 I worked for Amazon. Currently working for Coca Cola in the loading warehouse
In August 2021, I injured my ACL, had surgery in February 2022. Due to this injury I was unable to play soccer during my senior year of highschool. I am two month ahead of schedule in my recovery. I continue to weight lift, speed train, and have started endurance training approximately 15 hours a week. The forecast is I should be ready for full play in Sept 2023.
I am a good candidate for your team as I am a committed and driven athlete pushing myself through additional training, to further myself in the field of athletics and wishing to attending a college that will give me the academic education I am looking to pursue.
