All coaches have high expectations of their players.  But as a player, I have high expectations of my coaches.  I expect them to put together a comprehensive plan of attack and to prepare the team to play.  And it is my job as a player, to execute the coaches' game plan to the very best of my ability.  If we win, the players come away with all the accolades but I am keenly aware that it all starts with excellent coaching.  

My approach to academics has the same commitment and focus.  My parents and teachers taught me that education is both a privilege and an opportunity.  Societal norms did not give my grandparents many choices back in the day, so I am keenly aware of the opportunity I have been given. 

My athletic trainers gave me the inspiration to pursue sports medicine as they went from playing high level sports (one is a former Olympic field hockey player and the other is a former Div I NCAA soccer player) to providing rehabilitative services to athletes.

Aside from soccer and school my interests include playing the drums in both blues and rock grooves, skiing and track (in which I’ve run events for the past 3 years.)

My skill on the soccer pitch, study ethic in the classroom and personal character would make me a good fit for your program.
