Giovanni De Loa '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello to any and all Coaches, Scouts, and other prospective athletes.  My name is Giovanni De Loa, I am finishing my Freshman year at Cornerstone Christian High School in Antioch California, and I am pursuing the goal of playing Collegiate Level Soccer.  I am Mexican and Salvadoran with dreams of being All-American.  I have been playing Soccer since I was five years old and now at the age of Fifteen I have truly fallen in love with the Game.  I plan to dedicate the next four years of my life to becoming the best student-athlete that I can be.  

I am a striker and utility player who has the mind to read plays defensively, and the eyes to see openings offensively.  I have quick feet for my size, an extremely strong kick, and I am a coachable player.  My personality is built around teamwork, as the son of a mother who is battling cancer I have learned both when to carry out orders and when to take initiative in life, and seeing the reality of her struggle has given me an immense amount of motivation for success in all areas of my life.

In the classroom, I study as hard as possible and since starting High school I have maintained over a 3.5 GPA every quarter.  I have improved immensely academically, from 8th to 9th grade improving from a 3.0 to over 3.7 GPA in one years time.  I am actively involved in my family, my school, and my church.  My mindset is to attend a college where I can academically thrive as well as take my athletic ability and skill set to a collegiate soccer championship.  Above all else, I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and person in life.
