I have been playing for 14 years, since I was 4 years old. I want to play soccer while attending college because I love the sport and think that I have so much to offer a team not only with my playing skills and abilities but also because of my leadership skills on and off the field. I am extremely determined, focused, driven, positive and I a team player. I enjoy inspiring people and making people want to grow and do better. I enjoy being part of a team where strong friendships and a sense of brotherhood is formed. My goal is to attend a four year college and obtain my Bachelor's degree because I would be the first on both sides of my family to do so while playing and representing my school in the sport I love.
I am a hard worker and am determined when I set my mind on something. I have been able to maintain an overall GPA of 3.81 in high school. I changed schools and districts for my freshman year so that I could play for a team that played in a higher division than the high school of the district I lived in and because I felt it was a better fit school wise for me. I enjoy the school, students and faculty very much. I was selected for ASB leadership, was Homecoming King my sophomore year and was voted by the senior class as the schools "social butterfly". I think it's because I don't judge people, I treat everyone the same and I can be friends with almost anyone. I also really like playing for the high school varsity team. There were 90+ students trying out my Sophomore year and I was able to make the varsity team as a sophomore. I started in more than 80% of the games. That says a lot because an underclassman hadn't been selected for the varsity team in several years.
I am not looking for a full ride scholarship if the school is in California because I am so fortunate that because of my fathers sacrifices while serving in the United States Marine Corps and fighting & getting injured during Desert Storm, we will be applying for Cal Vet's College Tuition Fee Waiver for Veteran's Dependents. However, I would like to be considered for scholarship money if the school is outside of California because Cal Vet will not cover tuition expenses if school is outside of California. I would just like the opportunity to be able to continue playing the sport I love and think I'm really good at. To be able to play for the college I attend which some day will be my alma mater.
Thank you for reviewing my profile. I look forward to hearing from you.
