Colin McKinney '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Colin McKinney, I am a Senior graduating in 2022.  I am currently a starting Left/Right Back with the San Diego Surf Soccer Club ECRL team.  At Bonsall High School I primarily play Left/Right Wing.  My coaches (high school and club) tend to move me into positions where they know my speed and decision-making will move the game forward.  

Soccer has been more than a sport to me since I first stepped on a field to play.   The game has helped me build my confidence.  I found the more I developed on the field, the more I grew off the field.  Soccer has allowed me to challenge myself and be part of a team that wants to achieve a common goal.  I believe in earning a spot on any team and gaining the respect of my team members through hard work and my actions on and off the field.

In the last couple of years, I have added college and AP classes to my course schedule to challenge myself and increase my overall GPA.  I finished my fall semester senior year with a 4.0 and plan on finishing the year just as strong.
