From as far back as I can remember, I have always had an intent interest in marine biology and life. Once I learned that there are multiple career paths for this field, I was ecstatic. The dream of majoring in marine biology or biology and playing college soccer at the next level has driven me to work harder in and outside of the classroom.
Freshman year brought me a major setback in my life. It was the year where I received my first concussion on the field. But with patience and persistence, I overcame this deterrent and sophomore year came around. This year was when I was promoted to varsity and became the starter holding 14 shutouts and winning the section championship for Jesuit. It showed me that in order to achieve greatness, one must work hard through the struggles and endeavor physically and mentally pain in order to get better.
Soccer has taught me that hard work and determination through adversity measures one character on and off the field. Throughout my 12 years playing the sport, I have learned the components of leadership and corporation with my teammates and coaches. Finally, I will strive and commit myself to being a better player and person than I was yesterday in order to be a great asset to the team.
