Jake Forney '28 Recruiting Profile

From the moment I started playing competitive soccer at five years old, I knew this game was my passion. Now, nearly a decade later, my goal is to compete at the highest collegiate level. For the past three seasons, I’ve been a starting right back in the Elite Club National League (ECNL), where I’ve faced top competition from all over the country and continue to refine my skills. I have also competed in several ECNL showcases, as well as National and International tournaments. In my first High School season, I was the most used player on my team, playing twice as many minutes as anyone else. Under the guidance of my longtime coach Ladulé Lako LoSarah (retired Sudanese National player and current professional coach), I have developed a strong tactical understanding of the game and a relentless work ethic.

I am deeply committed to my training and constantly push myself to improve. Beyond team practices, I train on my own, incorporating daily weight training to build strength and endurance. I also pursue Thai Boxing, skiing, and running to expand my athleticism and develop my mental toughness.

Playing college soccer is not just a goal—it’s the next step in my journey. I thrive in competitive environments, and I want to be part of a program that challenges me to reach my full potential. I am ready to contribute, grow, and compete at the highest level, and I am eager for the opportunity to prove myself on the collegiate stage.
