My name is Chase Tanon and I am a 2004 attacking winger. I play at Sacramento Republic FC in the MLS Next league. I would describe my playstyle as an explosive winger that looks to penetrate the opposing defence from driving in at defenders, running in behind, and playing quick combinations. The key strengths to my game are my explosive speed, my quick, shifty footwork, my determination to win every game, and my ability to make goal scoring opportunities for me and my teammates. I can play both on the right and left sides as I am comfortable using both feet (though I am primarily right footed). I am known as a leader on and off the pitch, and a very coachable player.
I have been a diligent student throughout my whole life. Throughout my time in highschool I have earned a weighted GPA of 4.29. I am also active in my church and have volunteered in many different kids camps, as well as participating in a week long mission trip to Mexicali Mexico. In my community I have joined outreach programs that help clean up and remodel certain locations.
I have always been in love with the game and always had a ball at my foot. I pride myself on playing in the hardest environments I can put myself in. From 2016 to 2018 I was a top goalscorer in the US Developmental Academy, and was attending National Training Center training’s regularly. During the 2018-2019 season my team played in the Norcal Premier league where I continued to thrive. After, I transferred to Sacramento Republic FC seeking to play in the USSDA once again (2018-2019 Season highlights:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbMap2RlcnP0Zp7gkuLE3Z0mQEsy8UdZ2). I have been at SRFC for the 2019-2020 season and am currently playing in the 2021 MLS Next league and attending National Training Centers.
My journey with soccer has been one of the most important parts in my life, and I am looking forward to taking my career with soccer to the next step, and playing in college.
