Hi, I am Aadi Johri, a Junior at Vista Del Lago High School, a distinguished high school in Northern California. I have a 3.9 GPA currently and I am searching for a college with not only an esteemed soccer program but also a renowned academic program.
At 16, I am 5’10 and 130 pounds. I run an 11-second hundred-meter dash and a sub-5 40-yard dash. I utilize my speed and dedication in every aspect of the game. As a defender, I find that the most important qualities that I possess are my speed and anticipation. My speed allows me to keep up with any player and get to any ball. My anticipation allows me to prevent chances before they even begin. Going forward, my greatest qualities are my vision and accuracy. I am able to see passing lanes and slots. My vision allows me to start chances by slotting passes through to the right places. My accuracy allows me to place passes and keep a possession alive.
I am the starting right back with my club team, USA Stars 02/03B NPL and my high school Varsity team, but while guest playing with other teams, I play in a variety of positions. With my athleticism and knowledge of the game, I can fit into nearly any position. My club team, USA Stars 03B is ranked among the top 20 in the nation and top 5 in Northern California. This top-level competition is what allows me to improve and truly blossom as a player and a person in the face of adversary. My high school team, Vista Del Lago’s Varsity team, went nearly undefeated and took second in the San Joaquin Section. While being the only Junior captain, I received the Defensive MVP for the varsity squad and earned a special mention for All-league awards. Playing successfully at these levels has not only allowed me to see and compete against all the top athletes but has allowed me to develop my skills to compete evenly with the best. Playing at these levels has prepared me for playing at a college.
I have always loved sports. I have played lacrosse, baseball, basketball, and ran track in addition to soccer. While playing lacrosse, I helped orchestrate my team’s success which led to an undefeated season and a state championship. In baseball, I led my team to multiple league championships. While running track, I have qualified and podiumed in the district finals for the 100-meter dash 3 times, along with doing the same for the 200-meter and 110-meter hurdles. In long jump, I have gotten first and podiumed twice in the district final. Even though I am successful in other sports, none felt right except for soccer. Soccer is the sport in which I enjoy every aspect of.
Outside of sports and school, I love the outdoors; hiking, camping, fishing, and the beach are all exactly on my wavelength. Spending time with friends and family is extremely important to me and is probably next on my list of priorities behind academics and soccer. One of my best qualities is my ability to bring people together and weave bonds between them. I find this extremely useful in my life; it brings my teams together and turns them into a family. Building strong relationships with people is extremely important to me. This quality helps me as a captain to bring my team together and to make it successful. As a captain, I am able to direct my teammates and help them through their mistakes.
Thank you for your time. If you would like to contact me, I am always available. My email is [email protected] and my phone number is (916) 597-8934.
