Kevin Velasquez '25 Recruiting Profile

I'm Kevin Velasquez, graduating in 2025 from Fresno California. Soccer is my passion and my drive. As an outside back, I have a keen eye for analyzing the game by utilizing both defensive stability and offensive creativity. I am highly skilled at heading, tackling, guarding, and shooting. I have dedicated myself to mastering my skills by working well under pressure and demonstrating perseverance throughout the game.  

Over the past four years, I have been fortunate to play for the club teams Odyssey NPL and Alliance as well as the Varsity team through the high school I attend. Here I was placed in varsity during my sophomore year and have made the varsity team ever since. I have honed my skills and demonstrated my versatility on the field. My contributions helped the team secure 2 tournament wins, and I was honored to receive the MVP award for my performances. My technical abilities in passing, vision, and defending, combined with my relentless work ethic, have been pivotal to my success.

My commitment to soccer extends beyond match days. I follow a rigorous training regimen that includes active skills training and workouts 4 times a week. I am always seeking ways to refine my game through additional workshops and coaching sessions. This dedication to continuous improvement has been important in my development as a player.

Looking ahead, my short-term goal is to attain a soccer scholarship and be recruited by a D1 or D2  college team while my long-term aspiration is to take it to the next level by playing soccer professionally. I am eager to embrace new challenges and contribute to a Division 1 academy with the same passion and determination that have defined my journey so far.

Soccer has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am confident in my ability to make a positive impact wherever I play.
