My name is Diego Lopez and I have aspire to go to college and play college soccer. Going to college has been my main focus in order to make my parents proud being only the second person in our family to make it to college. In college, I desire to learn more and attain more knowledge about architecture. Having my father as a construction worker has truly increased my understanding about architecture, as they go hand in hand. As for soccer, I have been playing competitive soccer since age 3 and have never planned to stop since. In both soccer and school, I never feel like I am complete or know enough which is why I work day in and day out pushing my limits and exceed my capabilities. I will always do whatever I can to strive in academics and soccer.
In my freshman year of high school, I did not make the high school team as I wasn't as physically strong compared to the other kids trying out. Because of that moment, I made a commitment to myself that I would work exponentially harder. Not only did I make the JV team sophomore year but my Junior year, I was able to become a starter on varsity and come in second in the state final. That tumble in my life taught me that if I were to put my mind to something and compete with myself, I will be able to accomplish my goals. Not only will I be a great fit for your team but I will do whatever it takes to be a crucial part of the team.
