Derek Lucero '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Derek Lucero. I started  playing for the AYSO at Pico Rivera when I was 5 years old. I was picked to play all stars for another season then moved to Xplosion when I was 7 years old. I love playing defensive mid. I consider myself one of the best players in my team. I have strong ball skills, strong physical defense, mental toughness, and a strong determination to succeed.

At school I study hard to maintain a high GPA. I have AP classes as well. I’m in the Varsity team and I‘m always a starter for the games.  I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom.  I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my friends in my community and make my parents proud.
