Jeremy Caringella '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jeremy Caringella currently in the Class of 2024 at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California. I would be interested in an opportunity where I can continue to play soccer competitively at the collegiate level, while also attending an academically selective University. I currently hold a 3.8 GPA with an ambition to pursue my education into a master's degree in Criminology / Business. I have countless hours of community service along with GK training for younger soccer kids during summer camps.   

My academic success demonstrates leadership skills in the classroom, which I have also been able to translate on to the soccer field. I have been the starting Goalkeeper for the past 6 years at Laguna United (LUFC EA Blue) and have been named Team Captain since my first season. I played the last 2 years as Varsity GK with 2 years to go at Mission High School. I was just named Team Captain of the team going into my junior year 2022 season. During the High School soccer off season, I play Varsity Volleyball.

As a Goalkeeper, I utilize my understanding of the game / field, physicality, tenacity, agility with field player skills out of the backfield. While this is my passion position, my coaches have recognized my versatility and ability to play with both feet with fast skills out of the backfield with lots of communication and vision to see the field. 

Coaches have commented on my strong work ethic, leadership and dedication.  As Captain and a 4 year Varsity player, I am called upon to elevate the level of intensity and model focus during practices, tournaments and games. I have embraced this role and responsibility, as my parents have always instilled the values of character, integrity and commitment in both soccer and in school.
