I have been playing soccer since I was 8 years old. Since my older brother's first game I have fallen in love with soccer, the thrill of the game, the teamwork, and just the overall atmosphere of the game. I haven’t always thought I could play soccer since everyone said soccer was not a career path but my mom and friends have stated they would support me no me no matter my choice so I will fight for a place on any team because soccer is what I want to do in life.
I am great at reading the game and using angles to catch up to my opponents in the defense, am great at reading the player to keep the ball away from the goal and on their side of the field, and I am a teamplayer making sure to take in my team's advice and give advice in return. I strive to be one of the ones working there hardest and will strive to be the hardest working player on any team.
I work hard conditioning myself in endurance, speed, and ball control, by participating in things like Track, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I strive to do at least 7 days of some sort of physical activity for about 1 to 2 hours each week. My drive to work hard has allowed me to get a great mile time of 5 minutes and 35 seconds, my dedication to Jiu Jitsu has allowed me to be a 4 stripe white belt and my team improvement has allowed me to become a better team player.
In the classroom I work hard maintaining a decent GPA of 3.4, I offer help to both classmates and teachers when asked and I strive to make it as easy as I can on those around me. Outside of class I am a dedicated reader and love to learn whatever I can of History, specifically the WWII era.
I ultimately wish to join college not only to make my parents proud but to find a college where I will strive and others will push me to strive, where I can push my skills to new heights, and learn how to live in today's world. I hope to become something my nephews can look up to as a role model that anything is possible.
