Ryan Chu '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Chu. I am a competitive club player and it is my dream to play goalkeeper at the college level. This is what I can bring to your program;

1 - Passion for the game and goalkeeping - during quarantine I have continued to work out 6-7 days a week, 3-4 hours per day, with D1 Players and aspiring professional players. 

2 - Leadership / Communication - I have always played a leadership role on the teams I have played on by bringing team mates together and by being vocal on the field. As a result, in successive seasons, my club teams have been promoted and reached the semi finals of the state cup tournament. 

3 - Athleticism / Field Awareness and Knowledge - Prior to dedicating myself to goalkeeping in 2012, I played and excelled in several soccer positions / sports. Since then, I have focused on playing the keeper position as a hard nosed sweeper keeper - equally well with saves and distribution.
