I am a top 2020 student-athlete, team captain and impact soccer player in one of the country's most competitive regions. I am proud to be a leader on and off the field and proud my coaches trust me as another coach on the field. This was my 4th straight year as a captain of my team including U-13/14 USDA up to my current U-19 NPL season and high school season. I am extremely committed to soccer. On my academy team I had a 98% attendance record and have continued that at every level.
In the classroom, I achieved over a 4.0 cumulative GPA with multiple honors/AP classes taken during high school. I have a strong interest in STEM subjects but excel in other disciplines as well.
I will graduate from high school in June 2019 and will go to Denmark for a gap year to play soccer for a First Division Academy, Holbaek B&I. I plan to return after a year for college. The level is higher than any level I have seen in the US and I will be challenged to earn playing time. I will certainly get better in that environment.
As a player, I am highly versatile with an excellent understanding of the game who can play anywhere on the field. I am primarily a 10 and a 9. When I play in attacking roles I create chances and score goals. When in defensive positions, I can mark individual threats, organize my team, play effective pressure/cover, and build out of the back. I am big (6'3") and still growing. I am usually the tallest player on the field and certainly the tallest 10 I have seen. I think that shows how unusual it is to have my technical ability with my height.
My coaches commend my leadership, decision-making, ability to spot opportunities early in a match, and ability to play at a high technical speed. I am an excellent all-around athlete, who can play any sport. I played point guard on a good AAU basketball team before focusing on soccer. I am looking forward to a year playing abroad at such a high level. I will return to play in college as a bigger, faster, stronger version of myself.
