My name is Lorenzo Avalos, I play for the San Jose Earthquakes Academy, U-17 team. I have played academy soccer since I was 9 years old, and I just started my 5th season here at the Quakes. Soccer is my passion and my drive! Although I can play other positions, I mainly play Left CB and Left back, as I am dominantly left footed. On the field I am known for my leadership, communication, physical strength and athleticism. I have a strong left foot and I am great in the air. I am also known to be a hard worker with strong work ethic who gives 100% each training session and each game. I pride myself of being a great teammate who leads by example. I am always looking to become better, both on and off the filed. I thrive on feedback and direction from my coaches, teachers and mentors. I also seek to learn from my teammates as well as my opponents. I want to take my game to the highest level possible and I am eager to continue developing through playing in college. Continuing my personal growth through good education has always been a part of my future. Getting to blend my passion for soccer and goal of higher education is what I am determined to accomplish as collegial athlete!
