Hello Coaches, my name is Matthew Martinelli and I am 17 years old. I have played soccer for a total of 9 years and have been Goalkeeper for 5 of those years. I am currently part of Central Coast Condors U18 boys team . In 2019 our team won State Cup Presidents division for California. Later that year we represented California in Regionals, located in Norco California. My aspirations after High School is to go to a four year and play college soccer. I have put a lot of work and sacrifice into soccer because I love it and I would really like to grow my skills even further at a competitive level. I think athletics are super important and are beneficial in college but another aspect that I think is vital to success is academics. My house rule is academics first and athletics second. Academics are super important to me because I view athletics as something I want to succeed in but can't do the rest of my life. Having a good education is a good foundation for a successful and enjoyable life. I think that I would be a good candidate for a competitive team, because I have a great work ethic and am very determined to get better. I believe that this attribute is super important because it'll inspire others on the team to step it up and work harder.
