My name is Westin Aryana and I currently live in Riverside, California. I have been loving the game of soccer since I was 5 years old. I started playing club soccer at 6 years old. For the past three years I have been playing for Boca of Orange County. Our 2009 team has had and continue to have a winning combination. My teammates are some of my best friends, but we are also competitive winners on the soccer field. We have won the USYS National Championship in Florida 2022, 2022 Regional Champions, we are 2023 State Cup Champions, Manchester Cup Champions 2022, Surf Cup Champions 2022, Albion Cup Champions 2023, etc. I think what makes me different is the ability to play under pressure when results are needed to take home the win. Also, playing in an environment that at times has a lot of eyes on you, knowing how to show up and prioritize what is important at that very moment.
I also know how important school is in regard to my plans for the future. My goal is to play soccer in college and play abroad eventually. However, I know I need my education as I have seen so many players not able to fulfill their dream because of a soccer injury that brought their soccer career to an end. I need to persevere in soccer as well as in my academics.
