Personal Statement

Hello, I'm Cedric Hargrove and some characteristics about me is that both on and off the field I work hard to improve myself as a soccer player, student, and person. I aspire to be a top college player with high dreams of one day playing professional soccer. After college or a soccer career I would like to be a wildlife biologist. Off the field I am considerately quiet. However, when I'm on the field my character changes drastically to communicate and support my teammates. I'm looking to be involved in every play and trying my hardest to help my team both win and improve.

I alternate technical skills on daily basis from ball mastery (dribbling, turns, moves etc.) to passing and receiving. Over the years my individual training has progressed to include to include more challenging drills and skills.

  • 4 years
  • From U10 through u14 I participated in indoor and futsal training and game sessions during Club Team breaks. Training/games were about two times per week for 5 to 6 weeks. These sessions focused on individual foot skills in small places and progressed to to quick one or two touch passing in small spaces.
  • Weekend Training
  • 3 years
  • At least one day on weekends with no game I train up at park on the large fields with goal. The training session consists of a dynamic stretching, agility, ball mastery short skills warm-up, juggling, and a main a skills challenge drill. The skills challenge drill usually consists of using multiple skills in a single drill that includes movement, passing, receiving, turning, dribbling, moves, and finishing.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
