Yonas Desta '22 Recruiting Profile

Well, my goal is to become a professional soccer player, I want to make a difference in the world like many other legends. I want to let the world know that anybody can get where they want to get to if they try, that's just the first step though, you need to believe in yourself to make that you can make that happen. I know I am a great candidate because I know that for every choice I make will affect me in the future and all those choices are to help my family. I want to say that I am different from other recruits because playing soccer is what makes me happy, I love to run, I didn't even know what soccer was before I first played in my 4th grade. All I wanted to do was play, it was something I didn't have to think about what people are saying about me. when I play, I know people talk about me behind my back but I don't care, they say things about me because they can't be like me or do things I do. This is the only way for me to make a living from what I do to help my family and also do it because it makes me happy not because its the only thing I know to do.
