The three words that can describe me as a person are amiable, dedicated, and perpetual. Of these three words I am most proud to be perpetual. I am a perpetual person as I never stop and I give my best in everything. I am an adept soccer player and I have been playing the sport for a very long time. What many people don’t know is how it started. When I was five years old I was stated as being ungifted and was often discouraged at first. I was a very compassionate soccer player at that time, but because I felt discouraged at times I wanted to give it all up. I am perpetual as I never give up and I played continuously. Ever since I first got discouraged I played and trained continuously, improving my game tremendously.
I am a very hard worker and I have proven to many that my hard work ethic beats many players' pure talent. No matter what the situation is, I work hard on the pitch, in the gym, and most importantly in the classroom. For me it's not all about soccer as I take my academics very seriously as well. I am an A student and I really like to challenge myself to the full extent by taking hard and rigorous classes. I have won the prestigious Francis K. Field Award for the best composition of writing and I have competed for the National Geographic Geo Bee.
The thing that separates me from other student-athletes is that I am very perpetual and dedicated at what I do. I make sure I work hard in the classroom, on the field, and in my extra-curricular activities.
Thank you for reading this personal statement. I hope that you learned a little more about myself.
Thanks,
Alex Di Napoli
