Preston Bowes '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at San Jose High School, a Title I public school, and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in San Jose, CA.  I completed the IB Middle Year Program which starts in 7th grade and ends in 10th grade and currently pursuing the prestigious full IB high school Diploma Program and Seal of Biliteracy in Portuguese in 11th and 12th grade, a rigorous pre-university certification curriculum for academically advanced students. To support my Biliteracy Seal I studied abroad in Brazil this past summer while living with my Brasilian family in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. I attend an intensive Portuguese class (four hours a day) and football foot training twice a week with a local Flamengo club. I enjoyed the experience as well as foot volleyball on the beach in Rio. 

I’m an excellent student and continually strive to better myself both academically and athletically. I aim to pursue a degree in business finance, Administration, Management, or International management in conjunction with my future as an athlete. I love soccer, working-out, and I have been part of Leadership since middle school. last year, I was the Leadership Vice President for the class of 2023 and the Gym club (which I created).  I play high school varsity soccer as well as club soccer (Elite/NPL). Last season, my club team won the National Premier Cup 09/2022 and NPL Championship League. We are currently playing in the NPL Champion's League and are on top.
