I want to be a complete scholar athlete who works hard in both the classroom and on the field. I believe that the values you learn from playing sports and the coaches you play for should help prepare you for the challenges of life not just for soccer. I want to play for a coach and in a program that challenges me to be the best person/player I can be. I am committed to hard work, high effort, and perseverance in pursuing my goals.
During the pandemic shutdown, like many other kids, I learned about what the impact of not going to school or being able to play really meant. I learned that I can only control my actions and how to I react to the things I can’t control. With the help of my parents I created a routine that would give me a sense of normal. This included getting up early everyday ready for online school. Completing my homework on time and studying everyday. I trained on my own, working on my skills and endurance. Some days it was hard to stay focused not knowing when things would get back to normal. My faith and family helped me to get through the days when I was struggling to stay motivated. Looking back, I learned about how the struggle can make me a better person.
