I started playing golf in eighth grade. Previously, I did cheer and swim but I did not have any joy playing until I discovered golf. I did not start playing golf seriously until my sophomore year in high school. I was on frosh soph my freshman year and junior varisty my sophomore and junior year. I am on varsity currently in my senior year. I have a strong short game and I am working on my long game. I am consistent in my chipping and in my putting and I make 16 putts on average for 9 holes. I can chip the ball three feet away consistently from the pin. I am working on my long game and I have a bad habit of releasing the club too early. My average score for nine holes is eight over. I have a 4.67 gpa and I want to major in chemical engineering. I want to continue playing golf in College because it brings me joy to connect with nature and feel the rush of hitting the ball. Academics are always first, but if I can do well in school and play golf, that would be my dream. I am a hard worker and I always show up to practice early. I take my time to try to perfect something, but I am also up for new changes. I am good at adapting on the course and staying calm during high pressure situations. I always root for my teammates and I am there when they need cheering on. I am determined and I will not give up until I can get better.
