My name is Mateo Salazar. I am a 6' 5", 210lbs goalkeeper from Basalt, a small town in Colorado. I will graduate in the spring of 2024 with two years of eligibility. With my time left, I want to implement all I have learned over the past four years playing under several college coaches. I've lived through battles on the field, I've bled in training, and I've cried in the locker room. I've been through the highs and the lows, and I know the sacrifices and work needed to leave an impact. These past years have been difficult, and I've been through more than most. This difficulty makes me dangerous because I keep fighting when things get tough or I get knocked down. I am also very selfless and will always put the team before myself. One of the ways I like to do that is by taking care of my schoolwork, which has never been an issue for me. Once I find the program I will stay with for the next two years, I hope to be a role model and pass on some of the wisdom and experience I have gained.
