It has always been my dream to play college soccer. My goal is to find a college program that is a good fit for me, and help that program to a national title. I have enough versatility to play anywhere in the midfield, I feel I have a good soccer IQ and I am very comfortable on the ball. I have a strong work ethic, and play soccer with passion and drive. I love soccer, I work hard to prepare for matches and try to learn and grow from every experience on the pitch. I make mistakes just like every other player, but I understand that mistakes make me better and help me learn. My family moved a lot and I got to experience soccer all over the west coast (Southern California, Northern California, Oregon and now Colorado). The experience of moving taught me the value of adaptability and makes me a good candidate for any collegiate soccer program. I have made State Cup final appearances, had Surf Cup semi-final experiences and a Manchester City Surf Cup title against LAFC. I mention those experiences because they gave me the experience, and passion I needed to be successful as a player.
I understand that my character off the field is as important as my character on it. I take pride in my performance as a student I try to always be honest with myself and others and practice kindness, patience and understanding, especially under challenging circumstances. I believe in holding myself accountable and maintaining high standards. I know that I not only represent myself but my family, and hopefully one day a university and their athletic department.
Athletically, what makes me different is my love of the sport, not just playing it, I consider myself a student of the game and I enjoy using my vision and work ethic to exploit weaknesses in my opponents as I see them on film, or in real time during a game. As a student athlete, I take the student part very seriously, academics have helped my family find a way out of poverty and I don’t take that for granted. I will receive my college degree and I know I will be a better person for it. Family, focus, work ethic, kindness and respect are the foundation of who I am as a student, and an Athlete.
