Personal Statement

I am an 18-year-old Freshman attending CCSU. I grew up loving soccer. I always had a ball near me when I was little. I started playing soccer on a team when I was 6. And from that point, I have greatly increased in skill every season. I have been playing premier for the past 6 years. I am hoping that I will be able to use this experience with me to play at a higher level.

What makes me unique as a soccer player is my physicality, speed, stamina, and first touch. My physicality is unique because I can very easily push a player off of me and very rarely do players power through me. I have a very strong header and shot. I am also a very fast player. I can run 100 meters in 12.7 seconds. Also in addition to the speed, I’m pretty agile so I can quickly stop and change direction. In addition, I have great stamina. I can last for at least 75 minutes and still not be too tired to keep playing. Lastly, I have a good first touch. I can take a touch from a high long ball and bring it instantly to the ground. I think ahead with my first touch and I take a touch in the direction I already know I want to go.

I play mostly offensive positions. Positions like Winger (7/11), Forward(9), and Attacking Midfielder(10).

I am not only a good athlete but I’m also a good student. My cumulative GPA is 4.2 and I have taken 3 AP classes and currently am taking 2 more. In school I always get my homework done and I am almost never absent. I like school and I realize how important it is.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
