Oscar Nelson '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Oscar Nelson and I am a goalkeeper from Westport, Connecticut. What sets me aside from others is my work ethic and passion. Soccer is what I love and it is what I live therefore I am very committed to any team and program that I am involved with. There is nothing more important to me than dedication which is why I have taken the past years to dedicate myself to the game in order to master my craft. I am very coachable and open to any and all criticism. I take recommendations well and always learn from my mistakes as to never make the same one twice. Throughout the year I devote my time to school and soccer. I work all throughout the winter season on my overall sports performance physically and my position specific play. I play for my high school in the fall and then immediately jump into my club training after. I start for one of the strongest teams in any age group at my club, Inter Connecticut FC. I also take part in another combined program (Inter Connecticut and AC Connecticut) which brings together the best players from each squad to compete in the ECNL Regional League as one. This same squad also competes in various USL Academy tournaments throughout the season. My most prestigious competition takes place summer 2024 at the Super Cup in Northern Ireland against various Premier League academies and others (Manchester United, Newcastle United, Liverpool FC, Brighton, Celtic).
