I love to win and cannot stand losing! I am a leader. I am coachable. I am ready to put the work in to make my college soccer dreams come true. Soccer has been my true passion for as long as I can remember. Soccer has helped shape who I am and I wear my battle wounds with honor. I attend Greenwich Country Day School, which is a NEPSAC Class B school, competing in the FAA. As a freshman starting on Varsity, I was a major contributor to the school’s first ever conference title! As a sophomore, I solidified my place in the team as a reliable and trusted teammate who rarely came off of the field, shifting between central (attacking) and right sided midfield positions. Following the 2023 season, I was 1 of only 4 underclassmen recognized by the NEPSAC committee with post season awards after I set a school record with 14 assists in a single season, besting the previous school record that I had set as a freshman, 12. Most importantly, my coaches elected me as our school’s first ever junior captain. I plan to build on top of the small successes we have had as a program and help create a winning culture. As a player, I am very comfortable with the ball at my feet (left and/or right), whether I have defensive pressure or not. I am very capable of playing with my back to goal, but I love running at defenders. My foot skills and field vision are some of my best attributes. So, whether it’s retaining possession in tight areas, slipping balls between defenders or driving crosses to the near post or whipping crosses to the back post, my head is always up. I prefer to play 2 touch possession, but I am not shy to take more touches, when necessary. This spring, I have been making a concerted effort to create more space for myself off of the dribble so that I can take more/better shots and so far I have 7 goals through 10 games. I am also getting better about taking advantage of the space I’m given to advance the ball into more dangerous areas. Along with high school and club soccer, I play basketball, varsity lacrosse AND this spring I was cast in my school’s spring musical. Balancing these activities, along with a social life and rigorous academic schedule, I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons around teamwork, commitment and time management. I am looking for a school that will value me, as a person and as a player, where I can bring my accumulated skills and experiences while I continue to learn and develop.
