My Name is Emilio Contreras, and my collegiate goal is to earn my business degree to start my own HVAC company if I don't make it all the way in Soccer. My aspiration is to attend a college or university where I will receive a high level of education anywhere in the U.S and be comfortable and confident attending school to perform the best academically. What makes me a good candidate for any coach and team is my deicer to be the best and compete with and against the best. I always share the common interest of my team and what the objective is that desired. What makes me different from other recruits that want to achieve the same as me is my overall character. I want to be challenged and take all the criticism of the things that I do wrong and use it as a motivator to push myself to be better and get me out my comfort zone. I want to always be pushed to the limit and become better by any means necessary. I not afraid of anyone or what people say about me, I am only focused what people want me to accomplish. I am not afraid to make sacrifices if needed to win for the team. I understand that it is the coach's job to put the team in the best possible position to win. Of course, I want to play and compete, but if I have to sit out to win, I trust any coach that they are making the correct decision. Personally, my best attribute is being able to play multiple positions at a high level and understand the responsibilities of each position.
I have always been a hard-nosed person I take my life experiences and use it as fuel to be the best player possible. Every time I step on the pitch, I always believe I am the best player without a doubt with the work I put in to be the best. I take care of my body, avoiding anything unhealthy and any substances that are detrimental to my body. I eat, drink, and sleep right, I always make time out of my day to work out to stay in the best possible shape. My IQ of the game is very enhanced, I am currently a certified referee and have both the perspectives of a player and referee. I take my classes and grades seriously; I understand that I am a student- athlete, not just an athlete. I enjoy knowing that I am a top student and earning good grades is a reflection of the work and focus I have in my classes. Whenever, I do fail or struggle I know that there is something I can do to be better and I find it, to not make the same mistake for the next time.
