My name is Jonah Freund and I am going into my junior year at Westbrook High School in Westbrook, Connecticut. I play for both Sporting CTand my high school. I have been playing soccer for the last 10 years of my life with many years spent in various levels of soccer. From the town soccer, I used to play as a child all the way to my many years playing premier. Over the last couple of years, I have been putting my all into the sport, trying to improve myself to become the best player that I can and make it to the collegiate level one day. I have ambitions to play at the collegiate level and am committed to doing everything that it takes to get there. Over the last couple of months, I have taken my body to the next level as I have become an even more agile, and fit player. Soccer and my ambitions to play at the next level have been a very big part in inspiring me to get into the best shape of my life. I am both an asset on the field and in the classroom. On the field I generally play a more defensive role, however, I am very capable of making the transition to the offensive side of the game. In the classroom, I have been able to maintain a high GPA even though I have been taking classes that truly challenge me. In college I plan to take a Pre-Med/Biology route as I find those topics very interesting, as well doing something with medicine would allow me to make a positive impact on others and the world around me. Furthermore, I am very eager to make soccer a part of my future and play and compete at the collegiate level and find a school that will fit me both academically and athletically.
