My junior season was a rough but character-building period for me. After recovering from Mono, I had to work hard to get back into the squad, but once the season started my team began to see a lot of success. Then after just ten games, I was sidelined for the rest of the season. I struggled with how I could help the team without scoring goals or providing assists, but I soon figured how to lead without being on the field, shouting encouragement, giving advice, and cheering on my teammates. Although the season was very difficult for me, I learned how to rebound from tough setbacks and continue to lead in the face of adversity. I hope I can bring that same "get back up" attitude towards a program that is a great fit for me athletically and academically, especially one that will continue to fight no matter what.
