Growing up it has just been my mom and me. She works a lot in order for us to have a roof over our head and food on the table, and watching her work nonstop in order to do that motivates me while playing soccer and for the future to become better each day. I try my hardest to make her proud when I'm on the field and to show her and others that I can succeed in whatever I want if I am dedicated to it. I started playing recreational soccer when I was 4 years old, played for a couple of years then moved onto travel and played for Sunrise SC for a year, Cooper City cobras for a year, then played for ANSFE SOUTH FLORIDA ELITE FC SFEFC VALENCIA CF but now I am playing for Weston FC. When I moved to Cooper City I wanted to make the middle school team so I trained with my uncle at the park. I didn't make the soccer team sixth or seventh grade and the majority of the kids who made the team have played travel for a longer time than I have and had more professional coaching but that didn't stop me from training harder each year to become better, then finally the hard work paid off. I made the team in eighth grade and that same year I started to play recreational soccer again in Cooper City, I started to get noticed by a few travel coaches while playing in Cooper City and playing in the all-star game, so the next year I started travel 2017/2018. I became interested in soccer because it is part of my culture, growing up as a Latino (Colombian) soccer is everything to us. I watch soccer games every weekend on T.V. mainly European, German and English soccer, I play soccer almost every weekend and I always talk about it with friends and family, so the sport is a big part of my life. Playing soccer has made me a better leader, public speaker, has made me more social, and helps me clear my head. Academically in High School my goal is to graduate as one of the top students in my class and to get the bilingual stamp on my high school diploma and in college my goal is to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in either exercise science or business. In order to get to the position I am in right now I've had to go through a lot of struggles in life and many hardships that kids don't usually go through but that's made me into a better person today. One of the hardest obstacles I've had to go through was my junior year when my mom got laid off from work, then the pandemic started and made it harder for her to find a job. We struggled to get food and pay bills but we came along and ended up fine. Speed, making precise passes especially crossing in the ball into the box, being able to shoot and pass the ball with my left foot even though I am dominant on my right foot, being extremely aware of my surroundings, and thinking ahead of a play in order to get the right pass or shot off are my unique characteristics and skills I posses.
