Hi, I am Gustavo Aviles, a student athlete. I'm originally from Puerto Rico, I moved to the states at the age of four. I currently go and play in Montverde Academy as a 10th grader. My goal and passion is to be a professional soccer player. In my early stages of my development, I played at a very high level. Playing with Orlando City’s 1st U9 team all the way til U13 Pro Academy Competing at very high level tournaments like Disney Showcases, Region cup, State cup, Dallas Super cup, Super Y Nationals, Iber cup, and many more. Going to the finals in most of them was a key development to my soccer career. I have played multiple positions on the pitch from LB, RB, CM, CDM, Flase 9 and CAM. For the last 2 1/2 yrs I have been playing as an attacking midfielder. My coaches consider me as a very technical and tactical candidate that creates offensive opportunities by passing into open lanes and my tactical awareness. I likes to create plays that will benefit my team as a unit. I believe in team unity, team chemistry rather than individual progress or self benefit. So I consider my self as a team player to benefit the team more than my individual self. I have a caring and passionate personality while at the same time I like to win. I always try my best to motivate and respect my teammates and coaches and not put them down nor disrespect my coaches and I can only hope to be treated the same way back.
Academically and athletically I consider my self very good. Focusing on my grades is very important for me and my future in becoming a responsible adult that can contribute to my community and make an impact in my friends lives. Going to a school my school Montverde Academy has been a great learning environment that has teach me great academics and everyday moral values in becoming an adult thru their great educational system.
I look forward to a college that will challenge me academically and push me to be better while reaching life goals while at the same time give an opportunity to play Soccer, the sport that has become my passion.
I strongly believe that the University or College that recruits me will gain a valuable and reliable asset that they surely can count on.
Thank you for taking your time to read this letter and looking forward to hear from you in the near future.
Best Regards,
Gustavo E. Aviles
