Hello, I'm Gabriel Alsokary. I have been playing soccer for six years now and love the game. I am an 16-year-old junior with a big goal to play soccer in college.
I excel in the classroom and am bettering my soccer abilities to be as strong on the field as I am in the classroom. I have maintained all A's throughout my first twoyear of high school. I work extremely hard to achieve the best academic results and wake up hours before school to keep A's. I have over 500 hours as a Publix Cashier and over 230 hours of volunteering. On my first attempt at the PSAT(8/9), I received a score higher than 99% of the rest of the country. I am taking honors and AP classes as a freshman and am determined to succeed. On my first attempt at the PSAT(10), I received a score higher than 97% of the rest of the world.
On the field, I strive to be a leader and maintain a positive attitude and a growth mindset. Recently, I was one of two in my grade of 100 students who received a nomination to attend the HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar in SWFL. Additionally, I was selected as one of 62 high school students internationally to attend the FBI Youth Leadership Program in Quantico, Virginia. Currently, I am a started at RW for my school team, the Community School of Naples. In addition to starting every game in my sophomore season, for 90% of the games, I have played all 80 minutes. For my club team, Naples United, I also play on the wing and in the midfield and am in the mix of a starter and bench. I play on the wing and have the potential to be a valuable player. I also follow professional soccer and am a huge fan of Liverpool. I try to model my game through a mix of Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Although I am undersized for my age, I am extremely driven, and my coaches say that I am the hardest-working player on the field. I will strive for success in any program and will continue to work to excel in my academics and athletics.
