I am a 6’ 2" physically dominant outside back. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old. Soccer has taught me a lot about who I am as a person and how to overcome adversity. It taught me that through difficult times of study for school or training for the big game coming, there is always more to give to get better.
I live in Niceville, Florida, and play for the U16 FC Dallas Soccer Club. I have been the captain of my team for three out of the five years I played there. It has always been my goal to join a club that helps me develop not only as a player but also as a person. I believe that I have found where I am. They taught me not only how to get better at soccer, but to pick your head up in difficult times and find your teammates for strength. Soccer has refined me into the man that I am today.
I hope that one day I will be given the opportunity to play at the college level. I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted and am in all honors and college classes. I am taking college algebra and an SLS class for two college credits this year.
Throughout my years of playing soccer, I have also competed in two other sports. I played basketball for 4 years and did Taekwondo for 8 years. I also am a Star Scout in boy scouts; the Senior Patrol Leader of Boy Scouts troop 52. All of these different sports, as well as soccer, has taught me that hard work and determination get you results, and that you are never given them.
Thank you for your time,
Jack McNutt
