Dear Coaches,

My name is Josiah Cortes and I am a 15-year-old soccer player with nearly a decade of experience on the field. From the moment I first kicked a soccer ball at six years old, I knew that this sport would be a significant part of my life. Over the years, I have developed not only my technical skills but also my passion for teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Playing soccer has taught me valuable life lessons, such as the importance of hard work and commitment. Whether it's waking up early for practices or pushing through tough games, I understand that success comes from consistent effort. I have played in various positions, but some of my favorites areCAM, CDM, Winger, where I can [briefly explain what you enjoy about that position-- create scoring opportunities for my teammates or take on defenders.

In addition to my time on the field, I actively engage in my school community and maintain a strong academic record. Balancing academics and athletics has taught me time management and the importance of setting goals. I believe that both areas contribute to my growth as a player and a person.

As I look towards the future, I am excited about the possibility of playing soccer at the collegiate level and/or professionally. I am eager to challenge myself against higher competition and to continue improving my skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. I value the opportunity to contribute to a team environment, and I am dedicated to fostering a positive atmosphere both on and off the field.
