Michael Sears '21 Recruiting Profile

My personal goals are to play soccer at the collegiate level while pursuing a Business Management degree.  Having played soccer both in the US and Internationally, I am well rounded with extensive experience.  I am a versatile player with experience in all positions (except goalie).  Coaches frequently complement me on a high work rate.  I will strengthen any team I play for by combining my winning attitude, high work rate, speed and TEAM play.  Understanding what it takes to be a student athlete, I hope to connect with a collegiate program that provides a environment allowing for academic and athletic excellence.  I was born and raised in Florida allowing me to play the sport I love year round.  My most recent accomplishment was leading our Arnold Marlins High School team to capture the FHSAA State Championship.  As a team captain most of my life, I am comfortable leading others while also respectfully following coaches strategies and direction.  I have proven high performance as being the only starting freshman on our high school soccer team, selected to play for the Olympic Development Team in Florida and playing with the Super Clubs National team in England.  I have developed great relationships with my teammates and coaches over the years.  I am excited about the opportunities ahead!
