I am a U.S. Citizen but born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela where my parents work as missionaries. I am 20 years old and presently living in the States taking online course at Central Cristian College of the Bible. Living in a South America soccer dominated culture has benefited me in making me a very skilled and confident player. Always playing against at the highest competitive level has molded me into a mature and complete player. I have always been a starter and the top player on the teams I have played. I consider myself a very complete all around player with excellent skills at ball control, speed and quickness, pass accuracy and power shot and can score with both feet. On top of that I am a confidence and patience on the field and with the ball. I am looking for a school that has a very competitive soccer program where I can play with teammates of equal skills and coaches who will challenge me and guide me to take my game to the next level. I would prefer a school with Christian values that Honors God with their life on and off the field. I expect to play professional soccer and I am looking for a team that can help me achieve that goal.
Character is important for me. I come from a strong traditional Christian faith family, with strong conservative beliefs. This has helped me much in life including the soccer field. I have a strong respect for teammates and coaches and a humble learning attitude. I also have a strong moral character and thrive to give an example to others in my way of living that honors God. This includes being a great role model for the school I represent.
Socially I have and advantage of being cross cultural and diverse. My parents are American and Hispanic so I have a blend of both cultures. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. This has helped me with my social skills and allows me to interact comfortably with different cultures. It also comes in handy in soccer when I have other international teammates or coaches.
I missed the 2019 season with injuries and 2020 because of COVID lockdown. I am presently considered a sophomore in college this year, but have all my eligibility years available.
Thank you for your time and consideration and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Josh Lugo Dye
