Hello coach. My name is Christian Lopez. I am currently looking for a school for spring 2025. I was a player for Weatherford college, but I am looking to transfer because they won’t offer the classes I need to continue my degree in mechanical engineering (done with common core 3 years of eligibility left). My current UTR doesn’t reflect my actual tennis level (high of 10.5 in the fall after our match against UTD), as I suffered from a sprained wrist in the beginning of the season, and I had to play like that because we were only six players on the team. Nevertheless, I was able to perform well in doubles beating nationally ranked teams in doubles.
In the fall of 2023 I had a close match against UTD number 1 Andrés Gonzalez (UTR 10.8) (4/6 2/2), in which I had to retire due to cramps and a pulled hamstring. I also beat UT Tyler Job Japelj (2/6 6/2 13/11), which was the first match of the season right before my injury. Most of my results are not published in UTR is WTN due to the fact that our coach quit and did not upload the matches to the platforms. I am willing to have a call to talk about an opportunity to walk on to a Division 1 or high D2 school, but I am also open to talk to school that can be in my budget (no division preference in this scenario).
Please let me know if you want to talk sometime soon. Have a great day.
