My name is Jacob Fuhr and I am a 6’1”, center back who attends East Lake High School; located in Tarpon Springs, FL.
I have played soccer since I was five years old at the recreational, competitive, and high school level. I have been a starter on my High School Varsity team for the past 4 years and am currently Captain. Last year, my high school team and I finished the season as 2018-2019 District Champions. We also won the inaugural Champions League Trophy where the top 10 high school teams compete against one another, outside of district play.
I also play Club Soccer for the Tampa Bay United-Rowdies (2002); Coached by Jaime Cortes and we ended this season ranked #8 in the state. Next season, 2019 - 2020, I will play on the ECNL 01/02 team, again coached by Jaime Cortes.
Currently I have a 4.5 weighted GPA and am proud to say that I am number one in my class. My goals are, by the end of High School, to become valedictorian and to lead my team in becoming state champions.
For college; I am looking for a university that is strong in both the academic and athletic fields; and a school that is the right match for me. As of right now, I am considering a major in Molecular & Cellular Biology and/or possibly Medicine. I hope that after college, I can enter into the pharmaceutical field and work on the cutting edge of cancer research.
