My Freshman year my club soccer team won the Florida cup which allowed us to go to Nationals. This was eye-opening allowing me to see the competition from across the country. Although we didn't advance to the finals, It allowed me to see that I could compete at a national level. I learned that if I want to keep attending these big tournaments and winning them then I need to take a leadership role on my team by becoming more vocal and supportive.
During my sophomore year, I earned a spot on the Winter Park High School varsity soccer team. As one of the younger guys on the team, I had to earn my play time and match the skill and physicality of the older players, and I did. As my season progressed so did my playing time and the number of goals I was scoring and contributing to. I am looking forward to my junior year and our success to come.
In my college years, I am looking for a blend of academic success along with a highly competitive athletic program. The discipline and commitment will prove me successful.
