Hi, my name is James Chege. I started playing soccer in 2008, when soccer became a family favorite sport. Transferring to Cartersville High School was the best decision in my high school soccer career so far. I had great ambition to play for the best varsity team in the region but I couldn't because of transfer laws. This was a big obstacle on my way for a whole year. On the contrary, this experience helped me increase my patience and my work ethics. My goal was to show the head coach what he was missing, that I am a direct-impact athlete who thrives on the wings and how vital I would be to his squad. Moving into the following season, my team went 10-2, I was voted All-County best midfielder, and made co-captain. That year we made it to the playoffs, and came fourth in the state. Most notable is my ability to function as a team player, a dynamic player and positive influence on the team, the glue that holds our team together, who is careful to extend loyalty and respect to the coaches as a prospective student-athlete.
Academically, I am looking for a quality education that will position me strongly upon graduation. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a Business major that will position me well for the best marketing strategies.
I am hoping to get into a program that not only benefits me athletically and academically, but helps improve me as a human being. An exceptional educator who will recruit me not just for the next four years, but for the next 40, 50, my entire lifetime. This opportunity will help me to achieve success in life and grab the bigger brass ring for future advancement in my main goal which is to help others.
Sincerely,
James Chege
