Dear Coaches,
Thank you for your time and effort reviewing my profile on NCSA. Over the last two years my goals in life have changed. Soccer has been a big part of my life and has taught me many lifelong lessons. However, I have decided to close out this chapter and will not play competitive soccer in college. I was recently elected as the state-wide President of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) of Georgia. My future efforts will be focused on leading this great organization and using this leadership experience to springboard into college. Again, thank you for your interest and time reviewing my videos and following me on NCSA.
Many things in my life have influenced who I am today, but most of the credit goes to being half-Hispanic and half White. My mother, being Hispanic, allowed my brothers and me to live and experience the Latin American culture. She taught us how to speak Spanish and through many visits to her home country, we soon learned how to read and write in Spanish. Every summer, since I was a born, my family would take a two-month trip to Guatemala. We would originally stay with my grandmother, who owns a family bakery, in Esquipulas, Guatemala. Now we stay in our own house my father built and renovated over the years. Esquipulas is famous for the large Catholic Church in the center of town and home to "El Cristo Negro" meaning the Black Christ. I started playing soccer at the age of four. My two older brothers were already playing soccer and watching them play from the sidelines, I was eager to start playing as early as possible. I played recreational soccer until the age of 12. This is when I made the big step into select soccer. I was selected to play on the CFC Red Star, which plays in Region III. Through this club, I learned the true game of soccer. My current goals are to graduate from high school and attend college. I want to work in the medical field maybe as a physical therapist or dentist. I will be playing both club and high school soccer until graduation. I want to continue playing soccer through college.
